JANCIS ROBINSON IN AUSTRALIA - FEBRUARY 2012

Jancis Robinson, MW, OBE, world-renowned wine authority and one of the world’s most influential and successful wine critics, has accepted Lateral’s invitation to host a series of events in Australia in February 2012.

UK based Jancis is the wine correspondent of the Financial Times and author of over twenty books including The Oxford Companion of Wine, widely considered to be the most comprehensive wine encyclopedia in the world. She has appeared in her own TV series on BBC2.

Jancis became the first person outside the wine trade to become a Master of Wine, joining only 288 Masters of Wine in 23 counties worldwide.

Since 2005 Jancis has been a member of the Royal Household Wine Committee, choosing wines for HM the Queen to serve her guests.

Jancis was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), and is the recipient of dozens on international awards including, most recently, the Louis Roederer Wine Writers Awards 2010 and being made an Officier de l'Ordre du Mérite Agricole by the French Minister of Agriculture.

Staging exclusive events with Jancis Robinson is one of the ways Lateral provides unique money-can’t-buy event experiences, and follows a hugely successful series of events with Heston Blumenthal in Australia in March 2011.
